Bike plunges into roadside pond; 2 youngsters meet tragic end

Belthangady, Feb 5, 2015:  Two youngsters who were riding a motor bike met a tragic end when their two-wheeler fell into a pond near Odilu in Maddadka  late night on February 3, Tuesday.

The deceased are Vishwanath alias Sunder Naik (26) of Tenka Edapadavu near Moodbidri and Madhusudan (24) of Uruvalu village. If Sunder was riding the bike, Madhusudan was on the pillion.

They were returning  from the car festival of Mahalingeshwara Temple at Odilu when tragedy struck.  The deceased Madhusudan was an MSc student of SDM College in Ujire.

Sources said  Sunder lost control over his two-wheeler  in a bid to avert  collision with an oncoming  vehicle. Their two-wheeler skidded and fell into the pond  resulting in the tragedy.

By the time, people gathered and fire service personnel were informed the two had died.
