Bijapur man killed in hit and run case at Udyavar

Kaup, April 22, 2014 : A  man from Bijapur lost his life in a hit and run case reported on the National Highway 66 at Udyavara on April 21, Monday.

 

The deceased is Megadum Ramappa (38). He was a labourer.  It is  learnt, he was standing in front of the Halima Sabju Convention Hall when a Maruthi Swift car ran over him.

The car fled the scene soon after. The car was heading towards Mangalore from Udupi when the mishap took place.

Kaup police rushed to the spot. Even district minister Vinaykumar Sorake visited the place. Traffic was disrupted on the road for some time following the accident.
