Bhajrangdal protests against V-Day celebrations

 Mangalore, Feb 14, 2013:  Activists of the Bhajrangdal on February 14, Thursday expressed their strong opposition to the celebration of Valentine’s Day by burning greeting cards near the Besant Women’s College here.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Several activists who arrived at the spot, shouted slogans against Valentine’s Day and burnt the greeting cards.

Speaking on the occasion, Puneeth Pumpwell, Bhajrangdal leader  said Bhajrangdal was strongly against celebration of Valentine’s Day as it was against the Indian culture.

Bhajrangdal leaders Padmanabha, Uday, Pramod Pumpwell and others took part in the protest. Kadri police arrived at the scene and ensured  that the protest went off peacefully.
