
Mangalore, Nov 10, 2013: R Shivakumar, President of Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FKCCI) has said the road connectivity in the region has to be developed if at all the district wants to attract more investments and promote tourism.
Speaking to press persons at KCCI Meeting Hall on November 9, Saturday, he said the district can see good roads provided there is determination and will power on the part of elected representatives.

Highlighting the various demands of the FKCCI, Shivakumar said the Chamber wants the government to permit its representatives to take part in government level meets and also representation to them in government boards and authorities. It also wants early construction of tunnel way at Shiradi Ghat and introduction of uniform taxation policy, he informed.
He said the FKCCI has been organizing Manthan, a career orientation programme for degree and post-graduation students since five years. It aims at sharpening their skills and gear them up to be entrepreneurs, Shivakumar informed. Toppers of the programme will be given Rs one lakh cash prize apart from help in setting up their dream project, he said.
