Belthangady: Village Accountant in Lokayukta net

 Belthangady, Mar 19, 2013 : The village account of Belthangady was trapped by the Lokayukta while he was accepting bribe from a person on March 18, Monday.

The operation followed a complaint lodged by one Aris, a local resident that the Village Accountant Podiya had demanded a bribe of Rs 3000 for changing the record of rights of the land in his name after his father’s demise. The accused VA was arrested while he accepted a bribe of Rs 2500 from Aris.

DySP  Vittaldas Pai, Inspector Dilip Kumar and others were part of the operation.
