Belthangady: Two students fall from moving KSRTC bus, escape with minor injuries

Mangaluru, Mar 31, 2026: Two girl students were injured after being thrown off a moving KSRTC bus in Belthangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.

The incident occurred on Reshme Road in Kaliya village of Belthangady taluk. The sisters had boarded the bus at Gerukatte while it was travelling from Puttur towards Dharmasthala.

As the bus reached Reshme Road, its door suddenly opened while taking a turn, causing both students to lose balance and be thrown onto the road.

When the elder sister fell, the younger one tried to hold onto her, but both ended up falling from the bus.

The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera.

The injured students have been admitted to a nearby private hospital for treatment. They are said to have escaped with minor injuries and are out of danger.
