Belthangady Taluk Hitharakshana Vedike demands postponement of Yettinahole project launch

Mangalore, Sept 10, 2013: Pratap Simha Nayak, President of the Belthangady Taluk Hitarakshana Vedike has urged the state government to immediately postpone the  foundation laying ceremony of the Yettinahole project.

Speaking to reporters here on September 10, Tuesday, he said  there was a lot of confusion in public minds regarding the project and  urged the government to allay the fears in the minds of the public. Until then the foundation for the project should not be laid, he demanded.

 

He further urged the government to discuss the pros and cons of the project with experts and also to create an awareness among the people regarding the same. He said  there would be an organised protest against the project if the government decides to go ahead with the project without taking the people into confidence.

BK Dhananjaya, Secretary of the Vedike, Yogish Kumar, Vice President, Keshava Ballal, Advocate and others were present.
