Belthangady: Six injured in head-on collision between two cars on NH-73

Belthangady, Jul 9, 2026: Six people were injured in a horrific road accident involving a head-on collision between two cars on the Charmadi-Ujire National Highway near Seat Kadu in Mundaje village on Thursday morning. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the crash.

The injured have been identified as Vinita (22), Gowramma (49), and Kotre Gowda (55), all residents of Kavoor in Mangaluru, and Bhimanna (65), Srinivasa (32), and Shashidhara (33), residents of Surpur in Yadgir district.

Following the accident, local residents immediately joined the rescue efforts and shifted the injured to a private hospital in Ujire, where they are undergoing treatment. Fortunately, all the passengers escaped with minor injuries and are out of danger.
