Belthangady: Non-bailable warrant issued against Mahesh Shetty Timarodi in hate speech case

Belthangady, December 30, 2025: The Belthangady court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Mahesh Shetty Timarodi after he repeatedly failed to appear for the hearing in a case related to hate speech at a private event.

The case was registered at the Belthangady police station based on a complaint by Kishore Kumar regarding hate speech related to caste at a private function held in Indabetta. The Belthangady police have filed a chargesheet in court, and the case is currently under trial.

As Mahesh Shetty Timarodi continued to be absent from multiple court hearings, the Belthangady court issued an arrest warrant against him on December 24.

The court had previously ordered his detention and directed the Puttur AC to execute the order.
