Belthangady-Moodbidri State Highway flooded; families shifted to safer places

Venoor, August 2, 2024: The Belthangady-Moodbidri State Highway has been flooded and over 15 families have been shifted to safer locations. Moodbidri police and local youth joined hands all through the night to shift the affected people.

Rain water has entered most of the houses in the vicinity of Maroor village temple and nearby mosque in Moodbidri TMC limits.

A mini bridge at Sonandur village in Belthangady taluk has suffered a crack due to rains. Buses were caught in flood waters near Venoor church late night on Thursday and later the Venoor police rushed in to help.
