Belthangady: Man dies of electrocution while spraying pesticide on arecanut plantation

Belthangady, June 28, 2025: A man died after coming into contact with a high-tension (HT) electric line while spraying pesticide on arecanut trees at a plantation in Arasinamakki, Enjira.

The deceased has been identified as Udaire Krishnappa Kulal (49). He suffered an electric shock after accidentally touching the HT line.

Locals immediately rushed Krishnappa to a private hospital in Nelyadi, but doctors confirmed that he had died before reaching the hospital.
