Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja booked for abusing, threatening cops

Belthangady, May 22, 2024: Belthangady police have registered a case against MLA Harish Poonja on the charges of abusing  police officials and threatening them.

 

The MLA had allegedly abused the inspector of the police station and had warned that the station will meet the same fate as that of DJ Halli  KJ Halli police station.

It may be recalled here that the MLA had led a protest in front of the Vikasa Saudha of Belthangady without prior permission opposing the arrest of rowdy sheeter Shashiraj Shetty.
