Belthangady: Human skeleton found in agricultural field in Nalkur village

Belthangady, Sep 29, 2026: An unidentified human skeleton was found near Padi in Nalkur village on the evening of Monday, September 28.

The skeleton, including a skull, bones and clothing, was discovered near a stream in an agricultural field belonging to Vinod, a resident of Padi in Nalkur village, Balanja.

Suresh, a resident of Majjenibailu-Padi in Nalkur village, has been looking after the property. The skeleton was found while the field was being cleared using a machine.

Venur police, along with the SOCO (Scene of Crime Officers) team, visited the spot and conducted an inspection. The identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be established.
