Belthangady: Decomposed body found in water tank

Belthangady, May 15, 2023: A decomposed body of an unidentified person was found in a public water tank near Umamaheshwara Temple of Karyatadka in Kalenja of Belthangady taluk. Water from this same tank is supplied to the village.

 

Local residents complained of foul smell in the water and had brought the same to the notice of the Panchayat. Later when the water tank was checked, to everyone’s shock, a decomposed body was found.

The body was suspected to be that of a missing man who worked at a wine shop at Karyathadka. It is suspected that he might have committed suicide.
