Belthangady: 27-year-old lorry driver found dead at Guruvayanakere; murder suspected

Belthangady, Jul 2, 2026: A 27-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Guruvayanakere in Belthangady taluk, with police suspecting foul play.

The body was discovered on the premises of the Yanopoyo private power substation near Shaktinagar in Kuvettu village.

The deceased has been identified as Mustaq (27), son of Sharif K., a resident of Kalleri Janata Colony in Thanneerupantha village. Mustaq was working as a lorry driver.

The victim’s father, Sharif, has alleged that his son was murdered and has demanded a thorough investigation into the case.

Belthangady police visited the spot, conducted a preliminary inspection, and have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
