Belman’s former GP chief dies as water tank collapses at temple

Karkala, Jan 31, 2024: A former gram panchayat president of Belman lost her life while her daughter sustained serious injuries when a water tank all of a sudden collapsed while she was disposing the plate after Prasada lunch at the Nandalike Sri Mahamayee Temple on Tuesday on the occasion of the annual Mari Pooja.

 

The deceased is Srilatha (50). Her daughter Pooja has sustained injuries and is being treated at KMC Hospital, Manipal.

Karkala Rural Police are investigating the case.
