Bantwal, Dec 7, 2011 : B. S. Yeddyurappa, the former chief minister of Karnataka, said that the Bellary by-poll results were expected and that they cannot be considered to be a threat to the BJP.
Interacting with reporters after participating in the Vajapeya Somayaga at Nandagokula Goshale at Narahari along the Kalladka – Melkar highway on Tuesday, he said that the winning independent candidate Shriramulu is not a threat to the BJP.
Expressing his unwillingness to discuss the post of the BJP state president in public, he said that the BJP high command will make that decision.
The former chief minister was accompanied by Dr. Prabhakar Bhat, MP Renukacharya, MLA Padmanabha Kottari, and others.
The yaga will continue till Dec 23.
