Bellare, Subrahmanya SIs transferred all of a sudden

Sullia, July 29, 2022: The Sub-Inspector of Bellare Rukma Naik and Subrahmanya Police Station SI Jamburaj Mahajan have been transferred  by Western Range IGP Devajyothi Ray with immediate effect. Both have not been given any new postings, but have been asked to report to the IG office in Mangaluru.

 

Kundapur Rural Police Station SI Suhas has been appointed SI of Bellare  while  Vittal SI Manjunth T has been appointed Inspector of Subrahmanya Station.

No reason has been given for the sudden transfer. However, it is believed that the lathi charging of Hindu activists during the funeral procession of BJP Yuva Morcha Member Praveen Nettaru has led to the transfer.

During the procession stones were pelted forcing cops to wield lathis. Videos also showed cops lathi charging an RSS  leader from Kasargod.
