Basadi theft case : 2 accused remanded to judicial custody till July 30

Mangalore, Jul 17, 2013: The Mangalore and Bhubaneshwar police have arrested two persons from Bhubaneshwar and produced them before the magistrate on July 17, Wednesday in connection with the idol thefts  from the Jain Basadi in Moodbidri.

 

The arrested are identified as Digambar Mohanty (59) and Diptimayee Mohanty (23).

According to police, the arrested Diptimayee is the wife of main accused Santosh Das  alias Ghanasyham who is absconding, while Digambar is his uncle.
