Bar, wine shops to remain closed till tomorrow morning

Mangaluru, Aug 05, 2020:    As a precautionary measure ahead of the  Bhoomi Pooja for Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, the district administrations of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi have ordered closure of all liquor shops and bars and restaurants in both the districts till  tomorrow. While the ban will be effective till 6 am  on August 6 in Udupi district, it will remain effective till 9 am  on August 6 in Dakshina Kannada district. The ban came into effect from 8 pm on August 4 in Udupi while in Dakshina Kannada it came into effect from  6 pm on Tuesday.

 

The administrations have already imposed prohibitory orders in both the district in order to maintain peace and order.
