
Bengaluru, December 9, 2025: A youth from Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada district died in a road accident near Kudlu Gate in Bengaluru on Tuesday afternoon after a goods vehicle allegedly rammed into the motorcycle he was travelling on.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Haris (34), a resident of Allipade near Ajilamogaru in Bantwal taluk. Haris, who worked as a mechanic with an AC company in Bengaluru, was heading to work with a colleague when a speeding goods vehicle hit their bike from behind.
The impact left Haris with fatal injuries, and he died on the spot, according to sources. His colleague, who was riding pillion, sustained severe injuries.
Family members said Haris had been married just six months ago, adding to the shock in his hometown.
HSR Traffic Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Haris’s body has been kept at St John’s Hospital mortuary in Koramangala and will be transported to Bantwal after the post-mortem.
The injured pillion rider, originally from Odisha, is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital’s ICU, officials said.
