Bantwal: Youth electrocuted while plucking arecanut

Bantwal, June 09, 2023: A youth lost his life due to electrocution while plucking arecanut from a tree at Malaibettu in Bantwal rural police station limits on June 9, Friday.

The deceased is Shafi (29), son of Ibrahim of Boliyar.  It is learnt, he had purchased an arecanut plucking pole made of fibre this year. However, he lost control while plucking and the iron knife which was attached to the pole came into contact with an electric wire resulting in electrocution.
