
Bantwal, Nov 15, 2025: Three people died and six others were seriously injured in an accident at the BC Road Circle on Sunday. The injured are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
The deceased have been identified as Ravi (64), Ramya (23), and Nanjamma (75), all residents of Peenya, Bengaluru. Among the injured, Keerthi, Sushila, Bindu, and Prashanth are in critical condition and receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
The driver, Subrahmanya, and another passenger, Kiran, sustained minor injuries and are said to be out of danger. Of the three bodies, one has been kept at the Bantwal Government Hospital, while the other two are at a private hospital in Mangaluru.
The group was reportedly travelling from Bengaluru to Udupi Sri Krishna Math for a temple visit in an Innova car.
The accident occurred at around 4:40 am when the car coming from the Bengaluru side crashed into the Narayana Guru Circle at BC Road. Due to the impact, the car was completely mangled. One person died on the spot, while two others succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
Public voices have alleged that the unscientific design of the circle contributed to the accident.
Traffic SI Sutesh and the Bantwal Traffic Police visited the spot and registered a case.
