Bantwal: Three detained at railway station for alleged assault on train passenger

Bantwal, Jun 3, 2026: Three individuals were detained by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Bantwal railway station on Tuesday morning for allegedly assaulting a passenger and creating a disturbance aboard the Mangaluru–Subrahmanya passenger train.

According to reports, railway police received a complaint stating that the trio, who had boarded the train at Kodimbala railway station, were causing a commotion in the last coach and allegedly assaulted a fellow passenger.

Acting on the complaint, RPF personnel detained the three individuals as soon as the train arrived at Bantwal railway station. The train was delayed by a few minutes at the station due to the incident.
