Bantwal: Thieves decamp with Rs 3 lakh worth jewels in broad daylight burglary

Bantwal, Mar 09, 2023: Thieves who broke into a house during broad daylight at Ira have decamped with valuables worth nearly Rs 3 lakhs when the occupants were away.

The couple who resided in the house used to lock their house while going to work and keep the keys in the bathroom.

 

On Thursday evening when they returned home it was found locked as usual but on going inside they found the cupboard ransacked and the jewels missing.

It is suspected that someone who knew that the keys were kept in the bathroom had used it to open the door, commit the theft and escape after locking the house and placing the keys in the original place.

Bantwal Rural Police are investigating the case.
