Bantwal TMC office to be under CCTV surveillance

Bantwal, Jan 31, 2014 :  A meeting of the Bantwal TMC held here on January 30, Thursday has resolved to  install CC Cameras  in all  rooms of the TMC office including the chamber of the TMC President and Chief Officer.

The decision  was taken as per the recommendation made by a ruling party councillor Vasu Poojari with a view to bring about transparency in the functioning of the TMC.

 Vasanthi Chandappa, TMC Chairperson presided over the meeting.  Several councillors even suggested forming of a committee  comprising the TMC Chief and opposition councillors to oversee the maintenance    of the CC Camera facility.

The failure of the TMC to erect a fencing to prevent encroachment of the public land near the  bus shelter in Ward no. 4, as resolved in the previous meeting, led to heated debate.

The councillors also made an appeal to the CM officials to ensure that waste water from anywhere in the town is not released to the river.

TMC Vice President Yasmin, Chief Officer Ganesh and others were present.
