Bantwal: Sudden rise in water level of Netravathi river

Bantwal, June 27, 2025: Water level in Netravathi river has risen all of a sudden on Thursday. The water level which was 6.7 meters on Thursday morning at 6 am had increased to 7.4 meters by evening. The water level stood at 7.5 meters at around 8.30 pm on Thursday.

The danger mark of Netravathi river is 8.5 meters. Though the present situation has not led to any floods, the authorities have asked people living near the river banks to be on alert and asked people not to go close to river banks.
