Bantwal: Six absconding accused arrested

Bantwal, Oct 14, 2023: Six persons who were wanted in a case but were absconding since the past five years without appearing before the court, were arrested by a team of Bantwal Rural Police.

 

Those arrested are Babul Sahani, Ram Govind Sahani, Amit Kumar, Satyendra Sahani, Saidan Sahani and Abhay Narayan of Uttar Pradesh origin.

A case was registered against the six persons in 2017 in Bantwal Rural Police Station  in connection with illegal sand extraction. However the accused had left for their home state without appearing before the court.

They were arrested from Udupi.
