Bantwal: Scooter rider killed in car collision

Bantwal, Jun 19, 2026: A 22-year-old scooter rider lost his life after a car collided with his two-wheeler at Deraje near Sajipanadu on Thursday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Ahmed Aseer (22), son of Abdul Rahiman and a resident of Madyalachchil near Sajipanadu.

According to reports, Aseer was travelling from Sajipa towards Benka on his Honda Activa scooter when a car coming from the opposite direction rammed into the vehicle. The impact threw him onto the road, causing severe head injuries.

Local residents immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Aseer was an active member of the social service wing of the SKSSF and was known for his involvement in various community welfare activities.

He is survived by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters.
