Bantwal: Private bus rams into school vehicle; students escape unhurt

Bantwal, Aug 20, 2025: A private bus collided with a school bus carrying students near Mallikatte in Punacha on Wednesday, August 20.

Reports said the school bus was on its way from Punacha to Puttur when the private bus, coming from behind, hit it at the Mallikatte curve.

The front portion of the private bus was severely damaged in the crash, and several of its passengers sustained minor injuries.

Fortunately, as no students were seated in the rear section of the school bus at the time, all of them escaped unharmed.
