Bantwal : Panic as speeding LPG cylinders laden truck topples

Bantwal, Feb 18, 2014 : There was some amount of panic  near Panemangalore on February 17, Monday night  when a truck laden with LPG cylinders met with an accident on the NH 75. Eyewitnesses said the speeding truck  crashed against an electric pole before rolling off the road.

The fear of gas leakage further added to the  panic as some gas  cylinders rolled out of the vehicle with a big bang. The Bantwal police and fire service men rushed to the spot immediately. People were much relieved on coming to know that there was no gas leakage.

The truck driver has been blamed for negligent driving resulting in the mishap. The cylinders were later  transported in another vehicle.

A case has been registered by Bantwal police.
