Bantwal: Night beat staff save man’s life through timely intervention

Bantwal, Jun 13, 2026: Two night beat personnel on patrol helped save the life of a man who suffered a medical emergency at his residence in Goodinabail near B.C. Road late on Friday night.

Ashraf suddenly developed severe chest and abdominal pain, causing panic among his family members, who cried out for help as his condition worsened. Their calls for assistance were heard by the night patrol team, which immediately rushed to the house.

The personnel found that Ashraf had suffered a minor heart attack. They administered first aid and promptly arranged to shift him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The swift action and presence of mind displayed by Bantwal Town Police Station constable Vinod and Home Guards personnel Jayaganesh played a crucial role in saving Ashraf’s life and have earned widespread appreciation from the public.
