Bantwal : Netravathi water level rises due to heavy rain

Bantwal, Aug 05, 2020:    Incessant rains that have been lashing the Western Ghats region as well as various parts of the district have led to a  rise in the  water level in Netravathi river. As on Tuesday night the water level was 6.40 meters at Bantwal. The danger mark of Netravathi at Bantwal is 8.5 meters.

As of now though the water level is well below the danger mark, there is the fear that the   river may flow above the danger mark if it continues to rain heavily for the next few days.
