Bantwal: Man ends life after killing pregnant wife

Bantwal, June 19, 2025: An incident in which a man killed his pregnant wife and then committed suicide has been reported from Badagundi in Navoor village of Bantwal Rural Police Station limits on Thursday.

The deceased are Thimmappa Moolya (52) and his wife Jayanthi (45). It is suspected that Thimmappa killed his wife by strangling her over a trivial issue and then hanged himself.

The couple were married 15 years ago and Jayanthi had conceived after over a decade of marriage. Her baby shower was scheduled to be held on July 2. The shocking incident has  plunged her family in deep sorrow.
