Bantwal : Leopard caught in trap

Bantwal, July 11, 2013 : A leopard which had given sleepless night to villagers of  Chennaithodi in Bantwal was trapped by forest personnel on July 11, Thursday morning.

It is said the wild animal which was on the prowl in the area  since some time had even devoured the cattle and calves in the fields of one Madhava of Angadipalke Kulalu.

 

 

 An aggrieved Madhava had informed the Forest Department  which duly  had placed a cage  to trap the leopard. As expected the leopard which had come to the place, probably the previous night to pounce on some dog, fell into the trap.

Hundreds of people from the vicinity arrived at the spot to see the wild animal which was eventually shifted to Pilikula in Mangalore.
