Bantwal: KSRTC Ambari bus hits scooter in overtaking attempt; rider dies

Bantwal, May 19, 2025: A young scooterist lost his life after a KSRTC bus rammed into his two-wheeler in its bid to overtake another vehicle at Nehrunagar in Panemangalore on May 18 late night.

The deceased is Alister D’Souza (24) of Mangaluru. He was returning to Mangaluru after attending a house warming ceremony in Vittal. Some of his friends were in another bike.

The KSRTC Ambari bus on way to Bengaluru from Mangaluru tried to overtake a tempo traveller when it hit the scooter of Alister.

Bantwal Traffic police have registered a case.
