Bantwal: Hit-and-run leaves two-wheeler rider critically injured

Bantwal, December 23, 2025: A two-wheeler rider sustained serious injuries after being struck by an unidentified vehicle at Ramalkatte in Bantwal on Tuesday.

The victim, identified as Usman, a resident of Ramalkatte, was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru and is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.

Reports indicate that Usman was returning home after buying milk when a vehicle collided with his scooter and fled the scene. The scooter was completely damaged, and Usman suffered severe injuries in the crash.

Bantwal traffic police inspected the site and have launched a search to trace the vehicle responsible for the hit-and-run.
