Bantwal: Car goes up in flame

Bantwal, April 08, 2024: A Duster car went up in flames all of a sudden  near Kudkoli on the Bantwal-Moodbidri Road on Monday morning.

 

Those travelling in the car managed to get off the vehicle on noticing the fire. Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and put off the fire. The incident resulted in a traffic blockade on either side of the road for nearly one hour.

The car belonged to Sharath Shetty of Kollettu. A short circuit in the car battery is said to be the cause of the fire.
