Bantwal: Body of missing auto driver found near Nethravathi river

Bantwal, Oct 30, 2025: The body of Preetham Lobo, an autorickshaw driver from Marnabailu who had gone missing after parking his electric auto on the old Panemangalore bridge, was found on Thursday, stuck in a tree near the Nethravathi River dam.

A photo of his auto had gone viral on social media. Bantwal Town Police and Fire and Emergency Services personnel had carried out a search operation in the Nethravathi River. The body was eventually found entangled in a tree near the dam.
