Bantwal : Biker dies in collision with a truck

Bantwal, July 26, 2013:  An accident involving a bike and a lorry on the National Highway at Ramalkatte here on July 26, Friday claimed the life of the young bike rider while the pillion rider sustained serious injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Kaushik Shetty (23) who was running the Sriram Nandini Milk Parlour near Bantwal bypass Road. He was the son of Councilor and BJP leader Devadas Shetty.

The mishap took place when Kaushik along with his friend  Sanjith Bhandary was  on way to Mangalore. The lorry was heading towards  Bantwal. A seriously injured Kaushik though was rushed to the hospital, he was declared brought dead. The condition of Sanjith continues to remain critical. He has been admitted to a hospital at Kankanady.

Bantwal police have registered a case.
