Bantwal: 13th accused arrested in Abdul Rehman murder case

Bantwal, Aug 11, 2025: Police have arrested the 13th suspect in the murder of Abdul Rehman from Kolattamajalu and the assault on Kalandhar Shafi, which occurred on May 27 at Irakodi in Kurniyal village.

The accused, identified as Ranjith alias Ranju (35) of Pudu village, was taken into custody on August 10. He will be presented before the court and is likely to be remanded to police custody for further questioning.

Earlier, Bantwal Rural Police had arrested 12 others in the case, who were interrogated in custody before being sent to judicial remand.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to track down other absconding suspects.
