Balmatta scene of a serious blaze late night June 7 - 8

Mangalore, July 08, 2014:  A serious fire is reported late night  July 7 at Balmatta in the heart of the city .  The cause of the fire at present is only speculation and investigations are on. The source of the fire is suspected to be a dental supplies store room at Laxmi Krishna building’s first floor, Somayaji Furniture is a prominent part of the building.

 

 

 

 

 

The name of the company or identity of the owner/s is not yet available. Wide spreading flames were said to engulf the  store completely destroying all goods.

Two fire tenders were seen with several firemen struggling to fight the fire and contain its rapid spread. Kadri police were present at the scene of fire and needed security has been made available.
