Baby elephant spotted in plantation at Kadirudyavara

Belthangady, Oct 30, 2020:    People are flocking to a plantation at Kadirudyavara in  Belthangady taluk since morning to catch glimpse of a baby elephant which was spotted in the plantation Friday morning.

 

It is learnt a herd of elephants had gone on a rampage in the plantation belonging to Deekayya Gowda  last night  and had caused widespread damage. However, the herd while returning might have unknowingly left behind the baby elephant.

The  elephant was noticed by the plantation owner this morning and he duly informed the  Forest Department. Forest officials have visited the spot.
