Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Hiremani, State Committee Member of the KJP said sincere party men had no place in the BJP and added it was this reason which made many from the BJP drift towards the KJP.

He said a leader like Yeddyurappa who sacrificed much to strengthen BJP in Karnataka for nearly four decades, was humiliated, thus compelling him to float his own party in the better interests of the state.

He also took a dig at former chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda for stating that the KJP had no future in the state and said it was better for Sadananda Gowda who had no political future, to try a hand in the film industry.

Hameed Kandak, Ramachandra Baikampady, Mariamma Thomas, Aboobakker Kairangala, Ravindra Shetty, Narayan Bhat and others were present.
