BSW student kidnapped while returning from temple visit

Mangalore, April 21, 2012 : Likita (20) of Jeppu, a final BSW student, was kidnapped near Shree Mukhyaprana Temple in Bolar on April 20 Friday.

According to the Pandeshwar police, a group of people arrived in a Maruthi Omni, pulled her into the vehicle by force, and sped away.

Likita’s mother Revathi has lodged a complaint, according to which she was returning from the temple with her daughter at around 6:45 p.m. when four people arrived in a Maruthi Omni, pulled Likitha into the vehicle, and sped away. When Revathi tried to stop them, they pushed her away.

Police feel that a person called Vitesh of Belthangady is responsible for the kidnapping.

A case has been registered at the Pandeshwar Police Station.
