On May 13, at 7.30 p.m., Mr. Ramachandra has posted an image carrying the words ‘Ivaru Vishwa Guru alla Visha Guru’ (he is not a world leader but a poisonous leader) with a caption ‘Deshada Sahodaratege Sarvabhoumatege Karkotaka Visha’ (A deadly poison to country’s brotherhood and sovereignty).

On May 13, at 9.10 a.m., Mr. Ramachandra had posted another image that had a statement: ‘Doddannanige Talebaagi Karyacharane Nillisiddakke Jana Ugiyuttiddante Manki Baat Nalli U-Turn’ (When people criticised ceasefire announcement after bowing head to the big brother, there is a u-turn in the mann ki baat), with a cartoon of Prime Minister holding a cut-out stating ‘I am world leader’.

Another post, also made on May 13, has a cartoon showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the feet of US President Donald Trump with the former accepting a ceasefire when the latter offers an option between arrest of (businessperson Gautam) Adani and ceasefire.

The delegation sought action against Mr. Ramachandra claiming that the posts were derogatory to the Prime Minister and capable of causing unrest in the region.

Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police N. Yatish said action will be taken based on legal opinion from the department of prosecution
