BJP elected representatives resorting to threatening tactics on officials, alleges Ramanatha Rai

Mangaluru, Aug 22, 2023: Senior Congress leader B Ramanatha Rai has accused BJP elected representatives of the district of resorting to threatening tactics against officers.

 

 

 

 

Speaking to reporters at the Congress office on August 22, Tuesday, Rai said the BJP elected representatives have become like fish out of water ever since the party lost power in the state. He said officials must discharge their duties in accordance to law without bowing to pressure.

Pointing out some alleged irregularities in Akrama-Sakrama and Ujwala scheme during earlier BJP rule, he said the BJP elected representatives who now cannot have their way are resorting to threatening officials.

He said the Congress even condemns the protest resorted to by the BJP elected representatives at the DC office building recently.

Party leaders Ibrahim Kodijal, Shashidhar Hegde and others were present.
