BJP corporators visit CM to request extra grants

Mangalore, Aug 9, 2011 :  A delegation of BJP corporators from the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC), under the leadership of Mayor Praveen, visited CM D. V. Sadananda Gowda at Vidhana Soudha in Bangalore on Monday to congratulate him on his political success.

 

 

Ganesh Hosabettu, Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Ashwin, Tilaj Raj, Harish Kodika, Vijaykumar Shetty, and others formed part of the delegation.

Interacting with reporters, Mr. Tilak Raj said that the corporators have taken the opportunity to urge the CM to sanction extra grants to complete the various projects launched by the MCC. He said that the delegation urged the CM to release funds under the CM’s special grants allocated to all civic bodies in the state.

Terming the visit “a courtesy call,” Mayor Praveen said that the corporators wanted to witness the swearing-in ceremony and the new council.
