BJP Mahila Morcha ratha sets out for convention

Mangalore, March 30, 2012 :   The District BJP Mahila Morcha ratha set out from the district office of the BJP to Bangalore to participate in the State BJP Mahila Morcha Sammelan, based on the theme “naari shakti sanghama,” scheduled to be held on Palace Ground on March 31 Saturday.

Sharada Ghate, the senior activist of the party, flagged off the ratha in the presence of BJP leaders Padmanabha Kottari, Suman Sharan, Nithin Kumar, Shrikar Prabhu, Monappa Bhandary, Prathap Sinha, Amithakala, Rajani Dugganna, Geetha Nayak, and others.


 

The ratha is named in honor of Rani Abbakka and the portrait of Rani Abbakka is displayed on it.

Around 400 women BJP members from 10 blocks will participate in the convention, and 8 such rathas are expected to arrive at the convention venue.
