Author U. Mahesh Prabhu passes away

Mangaluru, May 13, 2024: Udupi-origin author U. Mahesh Prabhu passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, in Dehra Dun, as per late reports. He was 42, and the cause of death was heart failure, according to family sources. He is survived by his father, Vasudeva Prabhu, his mother, Shalini Prabhu, and his two brothers, Aneesh and Nagesh.

Mahesh Prabhu was born on April 26, 1982, and embarked on his life’s journey in Udupi. Later, he relocated to Mangalore, where he helped in establishing Bharath Bookmark, a book store promoted by Bharath Group. Following this, he moved to Goa before settling in Dehra Dun, Uttarakhand.

A prolific writer and self-taught artist, he authored twelve books. His works predominantly focused on applying Vedic and Yogic concepts to leadership, management, and self-improvement in modern contexts. He held bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration with a specialization in marketing and was a trained classical Sanskrit scholar and researcher in Vedic Sanskrit. Additionally, he was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Known for his keen social observations and political commentary, he founded the Vedic Management Center (VMC) in 2016 and established an investment company, Vedic Management Group LLC.
